This programme introduces practical psychological first aid awareness and support skills, including how to notice distress, respond supportively, maintain boundaries and refer appropriately.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognise common signs that a person may be experiencing distress without attempting to diagnose.
  2. Use a calm, respectful and practical approach to supportive conversation.
  3. Maintain role boundaries, confidentiality and personal safety.
  4. Identify when and how to connect someone with appropriate professional or emergency support.
